Ghana Union of Professional Students launches Gups Connect App with amazing features

Gups connect app is an educational technology application designed to meet the modern educational standards in global digitalization and with the App, you get to learn basic IT skills at the tap of a finger. Each interactive lesson will teach you a new skill from beginners to more experienced professionals

Unveiled with a touch of showbiz razzmatazz and cultural display at the Presby senior high school Auditorium in Legon, Accra this latest educational software was inspired by the vice president of Ghana, H.E Bawumia.

H.E. Jemima Emily Nyarko, president of Gups, says her team is proud of its latest offering. It follows on the heels of an earlier pronouncement by the Union’s general secretary during the handing-over ceremony in June, of the highly successful, which drew sky-high expectations from the new executives.

“What’s even more exciting,” said the President “is that we’ve created the mobile applications in Android and IoS. That makes it very, very easy for the people who want to connect to Gups to do so.”

She noted that one of the key features of the app is its simplicity. “The app is very simple in terms of the user interface: how it looks and feels. We think it’s one of the most amazing things that we’ve had to share with the public.”

Feedback from the students and the public has been phenomenal, she said, adding that the Gups Connect app is even built to continue working when a user’s data runs out. That’s when the app’s offline functionalities kick in so users can continue to read the latest news stories.

The app has also built a podcast that gives listeners a chance to enjoy all the programs on various radio and tv stations at their leisure, with an exquisite interface blending with great features like the gallery, media village, news portal, and many others.

“I think it’s important that we connect with our students by providing them with what they regard as the most important information and entertainment. So, we’re looking at building new functionalities that best encapsulate what we project as the Gups brand: fostering Unity,” said President.
